'Private sector pay hike from this month'

May 20 (Island) A salary hike for private sector employees made after 10 years would be paid with this month’s salary, Minister of Labour and Trade Union Relations W.D.J. Seneviratne said yesterday. US offers immediate assistance

Govt waives import duty on flood relief

May 20 (DM) Govt has decided to waive the import duty on the goods being sent to Sri Lanka as flood relief, Minister Ravi Karunanayake told Parliament today.
