More than half the enamel paints sold in country contains high lead levels
Feb 27 (Island) Key findings of a new report released by the Centre for Environmental Justice (CEJ) shows that more than half of the enamel paint samples contained lead concentrations above 600 parts per million (ppm), the legal limit for lead in enamel paints permitted to be sold in Sri Lanka. Feb 27 (DM) Former Minister Wimal Weerawansa’s wife Shashi Weerawansa was released on bail, with two sureties of Rs 500,000 each by the Colombo Magistrate’s court, today.
