SLTB auctions 120 unserviceable buses

May 18 (Island) The Sri Lanka Transport Board held an auction on May 8 and 9 to sell old unserviceable buses. About 120 buses were sold at the auction and another 160 will be auctioned on May 17. SLTB Vice Chairman L. Wimalaratne said that a decision was taken to auction unusable buses. The funds raised by auctioning the buses would be used to purchase spare parts and other accessories necessary for those in service.
