Mervyn and all that jazz...

May 10 (LB) We know that it seems such a colossal, unforgivable, deplorable waste of time (not to mention newsprint) to comment on anything the indefatigable Mervyn Silva does. But bear with us because, heck... we just can’t help ourselves. From the billboards, it is not patently clear what the man had done in Rome to deserve so much praise. We are left assuming that it must have been something along the lines of what he regularly does here — and more..

The international versus the local

May 10 (LB) The president spoke to the diplomatic community last week about the ongoing military operations and the need for the international community to — you guess ——keep their hands off.
