June 25 (FT) The Colombo stock market yesterday staged a strong rebound following the announcement of a ceasefire between Israel and Iran. ASPI gained by 2.5% and the active S&P SL20 by 2.8%. CPC assures no fuel shortage in Sri Lanka
June 25 (AD) Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has assured that there will be no fuel shortage in the country under any circumstances. CPC Chairman D.J. Rajakaruna stated that the necessary fuel orders for the next two months have already been procured. Court orders separate Police and Air Force probes into Maduru Oya helicopter crash
June 25 (AM) The Acting Magistrate of Dehiattakandiya, Y. Rajapaksha, yesterday (24) directed the SL Police and the SL Air Force (SLAF) to conduct separate investigations into the fatal crash of a SLAF Bell 212 helicopter into the Maduru Oya Reservoir in May. Port SOE profits rise 75% amid Red Sea troubles
June 25 (EN) Profits at Sri Lanka Ports Authority rose 75% to 34.93 billion rupees in 2024, as container transshipment volumes rose amid Red Sea troubles, a Finance Ministry report showed, as domestic imports also recovered.
