Jan 14 (NR) The evidence hearing of five cases against a former Chief Security Officer of former President MP Mahinda Rajapaksa Neville Wanniarachchi has been postponed till the 8th of February. Sri Lanka clamps down on tuk-tuks as death toll mounts

JJan 14 (AFP) SL tightened the rules governing the around one million tuk-tuks - rickety three-wheel taxis - on its streets after road traffic accidents claimed a record 3,000 lives last year. Jan 14 (NR) Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake says the govt has taken the necessary measures to eradicate Thalassemia in the island.
