Fisheries Minister informed of malpractices

Nov 17 (Island) Minister of Fisheries, Mahinda Amaraweera says he has been informed of financial malpractices in the Fisheries Corporation and will not hesitate to initiate legal action against the wrongdoers. India releases 29 Sri Lankan fishermen

Nov 17 (Island) 29 Sri Lankan fishermen from Negombo were released from the Mangalore prison in Karnataka state on Monday. They, along with seven other Sri Lankan fishers freed in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, will be repatriated in a day or two.
