Mar 16 (EN) Registrations of hybrid cars dropped sharply in February following a tax hike in January while small car imports continued to climb helped by lower taxes and financing costs. Mar 16 (EN) Sri Lanka's GDP grew 7.4% in 2014, with the quarter growing 6.4% from a year earlier. Police seize heroin from prawn farm

Mar 16 (Island) Mundalama Police seized 13.5 kilos of heroin hidden inside a prawn farm at Kanamulla, Madurankuliya on Friday. The recovery was made on a tip-off received by the Mundalama Police.
