Fisheries Ministry ties up with Navy to tackle illegal fishing

Mar 19 (Island) The Sri Lanka navy and the Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Ministry have launched a special programme to arrest and prosecute those involved in using illegal fishing methods and equipment, in the Northern, Eastern and Southern seas. Mar 19 (Reuters) Sri Lanka accepted all bids worth $129 million in dollar-denominated three-year development bonds, the central bank said on Tuesday.
