Free seed paddy for flood hit farmers

Aug 16 (Island) Cabinet approval has been given for the provision of free seed paddy to farmers of flood-hit districts, Agriculture Minister Mahinda Yapa Abeywardene said. The heavy rain and flooding have damaged large tracts of paddy land in the North Central, Eastern and Northern Provinces and the Mahaweli areas.
