Aug 18 (LT) Lanka Private Bus Owners Union (LPBOU) has decided to accept the instructions of the National Transport Commission to increase bus fares by 5.3% says the President of LPBOU Gemunu Wijeratne. Drought kills many animals in Kumana

Aug 18 (Island) While some areas are affected by floods in the Southern and Western Provinces, many animals are dying of thirst in the Kumana Sanctuary in the Eastern Province owing to a protracted drought.
