Rat fever kills 34 in Kurunegala

Sep 13 (DN) Thirty four persons have died of rat fever (leptospirosis) in the Kurunegala district from July upto date, Director General of the Kurunegala Teaching Hospital Dr. Ananda Gunasekara said. He said rat fever could spread through water contaminated with the urine of rats, cattle, dogs and cats. Delay in food transport to north

Sep 13 (PTI) Sri Lankan security forces on Saturday recovered C-4 explosives from the capital's suburbs, prompting the launch of high security vigil in and around Colombo.
