Three civilians hacked to death in Tissa

Nov 7 (ML) Bodies of three civilians hacked to death by unidentified assailants were recovered by police in the jungles off Yoda Weva, Tissamaharama. The police were yet to determine the killers. Nov 7 (AT) Tigers were caught red handed when they published the photo of a ten-year-old girl in a military uniform just next to Tamilselvan’s coffin, being carried by Tiger cadres in Vanni. Nov 7 (BBC) Sri Lanka Army spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara says that he is not able to response to LTTE allegations on human rights violations saying "these are always exaggerated and distorted". Whale washed ashore in Sri Lankan capital

Nov 7 (Xinhua) A massive whale washed ashore and died off the coast of Sri Lankan capital Colombo Tuesday morning. Witnesses said the whale was still alive when it was found near the beach in the Wellawatte district of Colombo about 10 a.m. (0430 GMT), but the huge mammal died quickly. Judiciary informed of damage at A’pura airbase
