Sri Lanka inflation spikes in May, but moderating trend still seen

May 30 (LBO) Sri Lanka's inflation spiked in May by a massive 3 percentage points, reversing a three month trend of falling prices, but the 12-month un-adjusted inflation continued to move down. Stocks end flat as attack near capital weighs

May 30 (Reuters) Sri Lankan shares ended a shade firmer on Wednesday, halting a six day losing streak, but investors remained cautious after suspected Tamil Tiger rebels killed eight people and injured 35 with a roadside bomb near the capital earlier in the week. The Colombo All Share index closed 0.08 percent firmer at 2,508.30 points, a rise of 1.98 points.
