Butterscotch Brownies

    100g / 4oz butter or margarine
    175g/6oz soft brown sugar
    2 eggs
    50g/2oz walnuts or cashunuts, chopped
    75g/3oz self-raising flour
    1/4 tsp baking powder
    40g/1 1/2oz cocoa

    Decaration:-

    icing sugar
    walnuts or cashunuts

    *Place all the ingredients in the mixer bowl and beat until well mixed.
    *Place in a lined and greased 18cm/7in square cake tin.
    *Bake in a moderate oven (180C, 350F,gas mark4) for 40-50 min.
    *Turn out and cool on a wire rack.
    *Decorate with icing sugar, then cut into squares.
    *Place a walnut or cashunuts half on each square. Makes about 16 pieces.
