NFCO urges Power Ministry to repay electricity reconnection fees
Mar 26 (DM) National Front of Civil Organizations (NFCO) today demanded that the Ministry of Power and Energy repay the fees collected as electricity reconnection charges. Mar 26 (EN) Cabinet has approved a proposal to provide training to workers going to South Korea, cabinet spokesman Bandula Gunawardena said. “A grant of US$ 1.5 million was provided by the Korean export import bank to improve courses designed for workers going to Korea,” he said. Laying bare the minimum
Mar 27 (TM) Cabinet of Ministers had on Monday given approval to a proposal to increase the monthly minimum wage by Rs. 5,000, i.e. from the current Rs. 12,500 to Rs. 17,500. With this decision, the National Minimum Wage of Workers Act, No. 03 of 2016 will also be amended. CBSL cuts policy rates in fresh boost to economy

China assures continuous support to Sri Lanka’s debt restructuring process
